My name’s Amber Dunlap. I’ve been writing freelance since early 2016 when I fell into my first writing gig while living in Cusco, Peru. Ever since, I’ve made a career out of mainly writing for tour operators, travel agencies, and hotels - doing everything from crafting their tour descriptions, sharing my own travel experiences on their blogs, and piecing together SEO-friendly content that connects travelers to their brand. It was only in 2018 that I decided to start simultaneously writing for myself and this blog was born. Today, I would call myself both a blogger and writer, with the blog serving as the more personal side of my nomadic lifestyle and my writing being the tool brands and publications can tap into to inspire their audiences and customers to be a traveler, not a tourist.
